William Bledsoe Obituary

Visit the Brown Funeral Home & Cremations - Coweta website to view the full obituary.

William Ardell Bledsoe, known by his friends and family as Dale, passed away peacefully at his sister’s home in Broken Arrow, OK on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the age of 60. He was born on October 22, 1964, in Dickson, TN to Wanda and Billy Bledsoe. He was raised by his mother Wanda and his stepfather Jerry Groves.

Dale graduated from East Central High School in Tulsa, OK in 1984. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1984 till 1988. He spent much of his time in the service in Japan. He leaves behind a daughter, Jewel Bledsoe, who was born June 14, 1994, and who he loved very much.

Dale enjoyed working on cars, riding his motorcycle and reading books, especially books about the military and westerns. He worked for 34 years as a welder and then as a Quality Control Lead at Kelvion Corporation.

Dale was a pillar of our family, as steady as a rock and strong as an oak tree. He was always there when the chips were down. He is irreplaceable and unforgettable. He was and always will be loved, as long as there is breath flowing through the lungs of any of us, left behind, who will remember him every day and who will never be whole again until we all reunite in the great hereafter.

Dale was preceded in death by all of his grandparents and many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Wanda Groves (Coweta); his daughter, Jewel Bledsoe (Coweta); his brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Cheryl Groves (Coweta) and sister and brother-in-law, Jeff and Jennifer Sullivan (Broken Arrow); aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends from throughout his life and from his time at work.

If the true measure of a man could be calculated by how necessary he was in the life of the family and friends around him, then Dale was larger than any words will ever convey.

A memorial visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, OK.

Family and friends are invited to share memories online at www.brownfamilycares.com. Dale’s family entrusted his care and cremation to Brown Funeral Home & Cremations, 210 S. Broadway, Coweta, OK 74429, 918-486-5515.
