William Michael Bobbitt

William Michael Bobbitt, 78, of Maryville, IL, peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

William was born on July 8, 1947, in Seattle, WA, to the late Kenneth Bobbitt and Lilia (née Canales) Torralba. On January 28, 1969, he married the love of his life, Barbara Wiesendanger, with whom he shared many years of devotion and companionship.

William retired as a systems engineer, having worked for several businesses throughout his career. He was known for his love of tinkering, especially with trains and planes. He also found great enjoyment in listening to music.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Torralba, brother in law Carl F. Wiesendanger (Betty), sister in law Nancy Williams.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara Bobbitt of Maryville, IL; two daughters, Sherry Crist of Maryville, IL, and Kelly (Justin and daughter Hazel)` Flint of Ballwin, MO; one grandson, Joseph (Lauren) Kury; his brother, Anthony "Tony" (Rita) Torralba of Maryville, IL; Joseph (Marsha) Torralba of Marina CA, sister in law Karleen Bierman of Fayetteville AR, and nephews and nieces.

In accordance with William's wishes, he will be cremated, and no public services will be held.
