William "Billy" Ernest Bocchino, Jr., 85, of Swiftwater, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Born in Passaic, New Jersey, he was the son of the late William Ernest, Sr. and Flora (Fiori) Bocchino. Billy was the beloved husband of Barbara C. (Szely) Bocchino with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy, where he was a radioman and served on the USS Carrier Wasp with his twin brother, Robert. This service would ultimately leave him without his hearing and he sacrificed his passion for playing the French horn. Upon his discharge Billy worked for 38 years with Colorite Plastics in Ridgefield, NJ as the North American Distribution Manager until retirement. He was a member of the Nutmegger's RV Club of Connecticut. For over 20 years during the winter season, Billy and Barbara spent cherished time together in their RV in Dade City, Florida.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Barbara; Billy will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Brenda Marion and Pamela Bocchino-Watson; sister in-laws, Teresa Bocchino and Victoria Bocchino; grandchildren, Brittany Marion and her fiancé Fred DeMaio, Thomas Watson, Ashley Watson and her fiancé Christopher Strunk; great grandchildren, Enzo DeMaio, Christian Strunk and expected baby boy Strunk. Billy is preceded in death by his sister, Doris M. Ulinski and her husband Albert J., his twin brother Robert J. Bocchino and younger brother Thomas P. Bocchino.
Services: A viewing will take place from 12:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. on Saturday, May 17, 2025 in Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco Pa 18326 where a funeral service with military honors will follow at 2:00P.M.
