William "Bill" Boughman passed peacefully in his sleep on Friday, September 12,2025, at the age of 77. Born on October 21, 1947, Bill was known for his generosity, humor, and lifelong dedication to locksmithing and teaching. He built a respected career, touched many lives, formed deep friendships, and left a legacy of service.

He is survived by his son, Eric Boughman, Eric's wife, Heather, and his beloved grandchildren, Peyton and Ethan, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his daughters, Jeanne Targett and Kim Targett, and his former spouse and longtime friend, Linda Kerr. Some family members became separated from him over the years, whether by choice or by circumstance, but not a day went by that they were not remembered in his prayers.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, William (Bill), his mother, Catherine, his sister Nancy, his brother Robert (Bob), and his daughter Linda, all of whom he loved dearly.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held on October 18, 2025, at 10am at the Golden Gate Assembly of God Church located at 3899 29th Avenue SW Naples, FL 34117 followed by private family time to lovingly scatter his ashes in the Gulf, honoring his wishes.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the ALOA Scholarship Foundation (ASF, a 501(c)(3), charitable organization) where Bill once served on the committee. His dedication to locksmith education and his years of leadership with ALOA reflected his lifelong commitment to helping locksmiths grow and succeed. Contributions in his memory may be made at https://tinyurl.com/BB-Donate-ASF.
