William Leonard "Bill" Brescia

William "Bill" Brescia, age 62, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025 at
Pinellas Care Center after a long battle with cancer.

Bill was born on October 29, 1962 in Cambridge, MA. He grew up in Watertown, MA.
and was the youngest of 5 children. He graduated from Watertown High School in
1980.

Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy and served for 10 years.
Bill spent many tours in the Mediterranean serving on the USS Butte and the USS
Capodanno, before finishing his 10-year navy career aboard the USS Constitution, in
Charlestown, MA.

Having experienced the warm waters and temperatures of the Mediterranean coast,
Bill moved to Florida in 2003 and eventually found his forever home in Clearwater
Beach, Florida where he spent the last 20 years, enjoying the warm Florida weather,
and his special Clearwater Beach community.

Bill was an avid Boston sports fan, and remained loyal to his beloved Boston Red Sox,
Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics and the New England Patriots.

Bill will always be remembered by his family and friends for his easy-going persona,
quick wit and sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by his parents Eileen and Lenny Brescia and his sister-in-law
Dee Brescia. He is survived by his 4 siblings, Linda Maidment (Bob) of Englewood,
Ohio, Jack Brescia of Milford, MA, Jan Kelly (Neil), of North Reading, MA, and Terry
Dawe (Bob), of Salem, NH, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

For Bill's Florida friends, a Celebration of Life will be held at 3 Daughters Brewery, 381
Mandalay Ave, 3 rd Floor, Clearwater Beach, Fl, from 4pm-7pm on Saturday, September
27, 2025. All are welcome to attend.

For Bill's New England Friends, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October
25 th , from 11:30Am – 2:30PM at Chateau Restaurant, 131 River Road, Andover, MA.
