In Loving Memory of William Leonard Brown, known fondly to friends and family as Leonard, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 25, 2026, following a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. He was 83 years old. Born on April 17, 1942, Leonard was a man defined by his steady hand and a strong work ethic. He dedicated the majority of his career to Donahue Gas, where he was a familiar face until his retirement.
Beyond his work, Leonard’s heart belonged to his family. He shared 40 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Rebecca (Sue) Brown. Together, they built a life centered on love and simple joys. Leonard found his greatest happiness in the presence of his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose energy and laughter always brightened his days.
He is survived by wife: Rebecca (Sue) Brown; sons: David Brown(wife Lori) and Bobby Brown(wife Lora); step-children: Johnda Patton (Greencastle, IN), Ronald Loser Jr. (Gaston, IN), and Kevin McKinney (Anderson, IN).
Leonard’s legacy lives on in the quiet moments spent with family and the lessons of perseverance he left behind. In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.
