William Camden Obituary
Randy was born July 12, 1944 to the late Eugene and Lucille Camden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Danny Camden, Larry, Jimmy, and Jerry Johnson; and his in-laws Eugene and Jackie Brown.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Rita Camden; son, Chris Camden (Robyn); granddaughter's: Micaela Watson (Jacob) and Meagan Camden; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Randy graduated from Oakvale High School (WV) in 1962. He served in the US Airforce in France as an Air Traffic Controller and was retired from AEP where he worked at Glen Lyn Power Plant and John Amos Power Plant. He was a member of Christ Community Church in Scott Depot, WV and had a love for Christ and spreading the gospel to all he met, often times with a Bible in hand to give to those he spoke with. Along with his love for family, he had a special connection with Winfield athletics. Randy took great pride cheering on the athletes and watching them excel in their love of sports. He didn't know a stranger when it came to his community. We take comfort in knowing that one day we will be reunited in heaven.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be 11:00 am Tuesday June 17, 2025 at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar, WV with Pastor Michael Hurlbert officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Randy's name to Christ Community Church 733 Rocky Step Road, Scott Depot, WV 25560.
