William Walter Carpenter Sr., 77, formerly of Point Pleasant, New Jersey passed away on February 5, 2024 in Fort Myers, Florida.
In lieu of a traditional funeral service and per his wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Renaissance Country Club (Annex Building), 1 Renaissance Blvd. East, Manchester Township, New Jersey 08759 on March 2, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. The Celebration is open to all who wish to pay their respects.
William was born in Newark, New Jersey to Stanley Cisielski and Genevieve King on September 24, 1946. He went to high school at Seton Hall Preparatory School. He went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from Seton Hall University and a Master's Degree from the University of Connecticut. He worked as the Trial Court Administrator of Essex and Monmouth County Superior Courts. Following his retirement from the Courts, William became a professor of Sociology at Monmouth University.
He is a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.
William is survived by his wife of 52 years Stella, his sons William Jr. and Ross, his daughter-in-law Melissa, his sister Patricia Lloyd and brother-in-law John Kaip.
In lieu of flowers, the Carpenter family asks that donations be made to any of William's favorite charities:

-Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA)
-Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund
