William C. Casper, 82, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025 at the Russell Regional Hospital in Russell, Kansas.
Bill was born April 6, 1943 in Wilson, Kansas. The son of William H. and Carrie (Hoch) Casper. He grew up and attended schools in Wilson.
Bill was united in marriage to Linda Bender on July 21, 1970 in Russell. This union was blessed with a son, Daniel. They made their home in Russell where Bill lived most of his life.
Bill was an over the road truckdriver for Crete Carriers out of Lincoln, Nebraska for over nine years before coming the owner and operator of Bill’s Wrecker and Towing Service in Russell for many years. In his sparetime he enjoyed fishing, playing with his pets and spending time with his grandsons.
Surviving family include his wife of 55 years, Linda of the home; son, Daniel Casper (Caroline) of Garden City, Kansas; sister, Janie Galliart of Wilson, Kansas; grandsons, Matthew Casper of Murdock, Kansas and Alvin Casper of Wichita, Kansas.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lyle Casper.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date. The family has selected cremation. A memorial has been established at the Bill Casper Memorial Fund. Contributions and condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
