Bill was a brilliant person who had so much knowledge to share, especially if it involved Irish culture, history of the Flint area (or most of Michigan), or legends/tall tales. Bill was a keeper of all the knowledge and loved to share when he got the opportunity. One of my favorite memories of Bill was sitting with him in the hospital and offering to pray with him-as a Protestant, I know the Lord´s Prayer a bit differently than the Our Father, and I may have stumbled a bit, but when I apologized, he squeezed my hand (he wasn´t able to talk) and shook his head a bit, and I knew it was the attempt he appreciated more than getting it correct. I will miss not having someone to ask my questions about just about any topic under the sun! Praying an Irish blessing for you, Bill.
