William Winston Clodfelter Sr., a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, at the age of 88. He was born on January 11, 1937, in Richmond, VA, and spent his later years in Apopka, FL, where he created countless cherished memories with his family.
Winston earned a Master's Degree and devoted much of his professional life to Eastman Kodak, where his engineering skills were instrumental in various significant projects. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, enlisting on October 6, 1964, and achieving the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade before being discharged on October 7, 1969. His military service was a testament to his character and commitment to his country.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Phyllis; daughter Lora Lei Hanson and son Bill Clodfelter, grandson Winston Hegener and granddaughter Olivia Stephens; great grandchildren Christian, Kinley, Luke and Charlotte; and many nephews and nieces.
A public visitation will take place on November 21, 2025, from 10am - 12pm at Highland Funeral Home. A funeral service will commence at 12:00 PM, providing an opportunity for loved ones to gather in remembrance of Winston. Winston will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Highland Memory Gardens.
