William LaVor Cluff

"Dr. William La Vor Cluff, oldest child of Alvin La Vor and Florence Walker Cluff, was born August 29, 1942 in Farmington, NM. He passed away peacefully on October 17, 2023 in Walsenburg, CO at Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center surrounded by family and his friend and colleague, Dr. Dutton.
He was the oldest grandson of his mother's parents and among the oldest of his father's parents. Bill was the big brother of eight siblings; Donnice Martin (deceased), Val Cluff, Patrice Fairbanks, John Cluff (deceased), Maura Kluzik, Vernene Petersen (deceased), Tammy Montgomery, and Colleen Jones. "Doc" Bill is survived by five younger siblings and four children; Kathy Krebbs, Scott Cluff, Marci Campos, and Jilli Cluff.
Bill was a beloved doctor who founded the La Veta Clinic in 1997, and served patients and their families at the Spanish Peaks Regional Hospital, and the surrounding community for 35 years. After he retired, he served in the VA hospital in Prescott, AZ. He recently returned to be among friends at the La Veta Village and was happy to be home again."
