Such a legend at Brookville Hugh School in Lynchburg, VA. So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was a great colleague, coach, and role model for students. Bill, you out did Burt Reynolds.

Every moment spent with Bill Cogbill was special because he was one of the greatest men to ever be on this earth. He was a father figure to my kids, a brother to me, and a friend to all. Bill was an amazing storyteller, the hardest worker I know, and genuinely the most selfless human I´ve ever known. He loved his family and I was privileged enough to share the last twenty years with him in my life. I could never thank him enough for his guidance, love, patience, acceptance, honesty, and kindness. Heaven gained a freaking awesome guy Monday night. And as his student Phil Vasser sang He was the ultimate American Child. I love and miss him so much already. My prayers are with Kim, MaryClaire, Katie and all his family!
