William F. Cordes, 84, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 24, 1941, in Newark, NJ, William was the son of the late Edwin and Irene (née Limeberger) Cordes. He graduated from Clifton High School with the Class of 1959 and went on to earn his Designer Draftsman Certification through FDU and Chicago Technical College.

Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He went on to work as a Designer Draftsman for Foster Wheeler, Belco Pollution Control and FLSmidth where he was employed for many years until his retirement in 2006.

In his free time, Bill enjoyed telling stories about his time in the Army, photography, watching golf and tennis, old cars, and vinyl records.

He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Staci Cordes Harrison (Bill) and Kristi Cordes Mutnick (Brett); his sister, Betty Cordes; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Rd., Paramus, NJ 07652.
