William Douglas Cox, III age 68 of Westview, KY passed away December 29, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Louisville, KY on October 4, 1957. Bill was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and retired from Louisville Gas and Electric. He enjoyed playing video games, chess and woodworking.

He is preceded in death by his father William Douglas Cox, Jr. and his sister Debbie Cox-Holt.

Bill is survived by his wife Hannah Klinglesmith-Cox. They were married January 3, 1978.

Children: William Douglas Cox, IV and Barbara Marie Cox Hinton (Clayton)

Grandchildren: Desiree Nicole Cox (Jason Russell) and Jacob Wesley Cox

Great grandchildren: Vanessa Louise Russell and Baby Russell who is due in June 2026.

His mother: Mary Cox-Brand

Brothers and Sisters: Karen Elizabeth Cox-Willinger, Pamela Lynn Cox, James Anthony Cox, Mary Ellen Cox- Beaudoin and Joseph David Cox.

Several nieces, nephews and their families.

In keeping with the wishes of Bill, the family has chosen cremation with a private memorial service.
