It was impossible not to like Greg. In the 1990´s he and I were Vice Presidents of Newport News Shipbuilding, and he was one of my best friends there. I recall all the imagination and effort he put into developing commercial ship construction and overhaul work, as an addition to our predominantly Navy ships. All the time with a smile on his face. I moved away from Virginia after I retired from the shipyard in 1998, and lost contact with Greg over these many years since. I am so sorry to learn of his death now. I know he will be missed.
