William S. Darr

Layton- William S. Darr 69, passed away peacefully February 27, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 24, 1955, in Ogden Utah, to Howard Darr and Ruth (Barnes) Darr.
William attended Davis High School class of 1973. After High school William Married Tammy Shepard (Blair) of Kaysville Utah and married in 1975 and had four wonderful children. They settled in Kaysville for many years and later separated. William later met Helen Darr (Sessions) of Salt Lake City and remarried in March of 2004, and settled in Layton Utah. William was a truck driver for many years and drove over the road but always in a hurry to get back home to his family.
William was a loyal member of the American Legion Post #87 for many years where he would love to go hang out and play pool with many friends. He was on a Pool League for many years. He really enjoyed Dancing, and singing Karaoke, putting together car models, gardening, golfing, loved weekend BBQ's with his family, he loved to cook. He enjoyed fishing and always had to watch his NCIS. He was known as Uncle Bill to everyone, he had such a big heart and would do anything for his children and family, and he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He would always crack jokes with everyone and always said he should have been a comedian., He loved to have fun with his family! He would always have something funny to say to make you laugh and put a smile on your face.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father an also by his two older brothers Stanton, and Howard. He is survived by his wife Helen Darr of Layton his brother Jay Darr of Layton, son Howard (Melissa) Darr of Layton; daughters, Tanya (Ed) Walsh of Syracuse, Holly (Brad) Tornberg of Syracuse, and Kayla Darr of Layton, 12 beautiful grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; and many loving nieces and nephews.
