William Ronald Davis, affectionately known as Ron, was born on December 22, 1951, in Shreveport, Louisiana, and departed this world peacefully at home on November 1, 2024, surrounded by his beloved wife and (step) daughter, Stefani. His life was a beautiful testament to faith, family, and a deep commitment to serving others.
Ron married Diana "Gale" Keith, the love of his life and best friend of 33 years on March 29, 1991, in Love County, Oklahoma where they became a blended family showing love to all of their children. Ron dedicated many years of his life to his career as a Grounds Supervisor for Grand Prairie Independent School District until his well-deserved retirement. His work was not just a job; it was an extension of his generous spirit, where he ensured that the grounds were not only well-kept but also welcoming for all who inhabited them. A faithful servant to the Lord, Ron was known for his kind and welcoming nature. His generosity and warm demeanor made every interaction a comforting one, allowing others to feel at ease in his presence. He took pride in sharing God’s word and often led Bible studies, teaching scripture and guiding others in their spiritual journeys. His proudest accomplishments included being a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Seven Points, where he served diligently, and he cherished his role as an ordained minister. A man of integrity, he was also a respected Master Mason, a brother of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, further showcasing his dedication to community service and fellowship. He lived his faith actively, taking every opportunity to bring a service to his community. Throughout his life, Ron found great joy in simple pleasures. He loved spending time with family, whether it was gathering around the dinner table or sharing conversations over lunch with friends after Sunday service. He had a particular fondness for making dream catchers, a hobby that reflected his creativity and thoughtful nature. He also relished moments spent on his tractor, feeling the freedom and peace that nature offered him. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, finding immense joy in the laughter and love of his children and grandchildren.
Ron Davis leaves behind a rich legacy of love and faith that will continue to inspire all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilmer S. Davis and Joanne Lindsey Davis along with his paternal grandparents, Bobbie Alice Newman Davis and Gilmer S Davis Sr.
