Obituary of William DelValle
William DelValle,
William DelValle, age 67, passed away peacefully at Lightways Hospice in Joliet, IL, on Thursday, March 13, 2025. He was born on July 24, 1957, in Chicago, IL, the son of Richard and the late Martha Sanchez.
Throughout his life, Bill embodied a strong work ethic and a deep love for his family. He took great pride in his son and found immense joy in his grandsons. Bill's love and dedication to his family were evident in every moment he spent with them.
Bill had a passion for detailing cars, a craft that he approached with precision and care. His dedication to his work was matched only by his devotion to his loved ones. Known for his handy nature, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, demonstrating his selfless and courageous spirit in both his personal and professional life as a Cook County Sheriff.
Bill loved flowers and would give them away any chance he could. He loved the spring and summer and would buy baskets that would hang all over his condo.
Bill is survived by his son, Jason (Amanda) DelValle; grandsons, Luke and Logan DelValle; his brother, John R. (Theresa) DelValle; his sister, Linda (Russ) Sehnoutka; his brother, Rick Sanchez; his nieces, Liz (Jason) Kavis, Christine (Bill) Ryan, and Samantha Sanchez; and his nephews, Steve (Ashley) Sanchez and Justin Sanchez. He is also great uncle to Adam, Jonathan, Kelsey, Billy, Jimmy, Dominick, and Ariana.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Sanchez.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the entire staff of Lightways Hospice for the love and care they showed Bill and his entire family.
