William (Bill) Earl Dillon, 82, of Highbridge, Wisconsin, passed away on March 17th, 2025 at his home. He was born in Ashland, Wisconsin, on September 21st, 1942.
Throughout his life Bill held positions which were integral to the nation's manufacturing infrastructure and was proud of the work he did at the Chrysler automotive plant in Hamtramck, Michigan, as well as at Columbia Forest Products(Formerly Louisiana Pacific) in Mellen, Wisconsin. He also served his country during the Vietnam War as an air traffic controller in the Air Force. Bill enjoyed the outdoors; he was fond of gardening, hunting, and rock collecting.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Harold, mother, Elsie, and sister, Donna Mae.
He is survived by his wife, Donna, children, Doug (Janice) and Denise (Waylon), grandsons, Reiley and Rory, as well as his sister, Barb Ferrando.
Those who knew him well will miss his storytelling and sense of humor.
A graveside service for Bill will take place at 12:00 noon Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Highbridge, WI.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mountain Funeral Home and cremation services of Ashland and Mellen, WI.
