William Dodgen Obituary

Augusta, GA – Bill Dodgen passed away on July 14, 2025, at his home. Bill was born on February 17, 1953, in Augusta, GA.

He was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Carolyn Dodgen, his brother Jack, and his nephew Jason Melton.

He is survived by his wife Patricia; his sons: Chris Dodgen (Marissa) and Matt Dodgen (Jennifer); sisters: Karen (Chippy) Melton and Susan (Jimmy) Smith; his grandchildren: Dalton Dodgen, Brooks Dodgen, and Addison Dodgen who were the loves of his life.

Bill was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church. He was an avid sports fan, and for many years supported and coached baseball for the Richmond County Recreation Department.

Bill worked in construction for many years and had his own business. As he went down the road, he was always proud to point out that he built this or helped build that.
