One time Billy overheard me telling my dad that my space heater broke. A couple of days later he was dropping a space heater off at my dad's house for me. His quiet sweetness went above and beyond.

So deeply saddened to hear of Billy´s passing. He was such a vibrant part of my childhood, and I have countless cherished memories of him. For over 50 years, he was my dad´s best friend - known as "Flinger" to my dad and "Uncle Billy" to me. You rarely saw one without the other. Whether they were fishing, hunting, or sharing a beer at Joey Miles, Paul´s, or the Harbor Side, Big Al and Billy were always the life of the party, feeding off each other´s humor.
Billy never missed a family gathering. From birthdays and Christmases to summer barbecues and the legendary Leo Parties at my grandfather´s house on Highway 36, he was always there - bringing laughter and fun times.
He was the kind of uncle every kid dreams of having. Always ready to play a game, pull a prank, or share a joke. His gifts were legendary - I´ll never forget the mounted fish plaque that sang Don´t Worry, Be Happy Now. That was classic Uncle Billy.
Thank you, Uncle Billy, for all the memories, the laughter, and for being such an integral part of my childhood. You will be deeply missed. I hope you and Dad have found each other again and are sharing a cold one in heaven.
To his beloved wife Debbie - my heart goes out to you during this difficult time. May you find comfort in the love that surrounds you and in the beautiful memories you shared with Billy. Sending you all my love and deepest sympathy.
Here are some photos we found of him from the late ´60s and ´70s - a beautiful reminder of the joy he brought to our lives.
