William Edward Doerr

William (Bill) Doerr, 80, of Rogers passed away peacefully on September 12,2025 at Shiloh Health and Rehab in Springdale. He was born on July 27, 1945, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to William and Anna Lee Doerr. All who knew him will remember him most for his warm smile and friendliness.
He was a life-long learner, earning his B.S. from the University of Cincinnati and his MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology. Bill worked for Xerox for 20 years in Document Technology and Management Services, followed by opening his own retail business, The Spirits Cellar, and working for and consulting at several small businesses in Rochester, NY. After retirement he continued taking college courses.
Music and the Arts were Bill's passions. He participated in his school band as a clarinet player and performed guitar and vocals at various weddings. He loved all kinds of music especially jazz, classical and folk, with Monk, Bach, John Denver, and Peter, Paul and Mary as favorites. A long-time member of the NWA Jazz Society and supporter of Theatre Squared, he also frequented the Walton Arts Center, and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.
Bill was also athletic and loved the outdoors. He hiked, played golf, and was an excellent racquetball player. Growing up in Cincinnati, he was a lifelong Reds and UC Bearcats fan, adding the Razorbacks after 31 years in Arkansas.
Survivors include his wife Deborah Doerr, his siblings Susan Wilson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Eric Doerr and Keith Doerr of St. Louis, Missouri, aunts Shirley McDonald and Delores Romine, and extended family.
The family expresses their sincere appreciation to the staff at Shiloh Health and Rehab for the exceptional compassion and care extended during Bill's last chapter.
A memorial will be held Tuesday, September 23, at 4pm at the Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the closest chapter of the YMCA of the USA at www ymca.org. As a youth Bill served as a camp counselor at the YMCA camp, Camp Meecham in Mentor, Kentucky, and had fond memories of the experience.
