William K. Doney, 67, of Hallstead, PA entered into rest on October 4, 2025. He is survived by his devoted wife and partner, Lori; also by his mother, Dorothea (Ed) Nickerson; a son, Ben (Hilary) Doney; two grandchildren, Aubrey and Jaxon; his brother, Mike (Debra) Doney; a niece, Stacey (Daniel) Parker; great nephew and great nieces, Deacon, McKenzy, and Autumn; his step children, Krystal (Gear) Robinson and Ginny (Jonn) Lord; grandchildren, Mira, Logan, Richard, and Trinity. He was predeceased by his father, Walter Doney. Bill was a traditional man with old school values. He was a well known and loved member of the Hallstead Community. He was devoted to his work owning and operating Thunder Valley Pet Pantry along side his wife. He cared for his customers and knew most of their pets as well. Bill was generous and humble, often assisting with no recognition or expectation of payment when he saw a need. He was a 37 year member of the Hallstead Fire Department and was constantly encouraging others to join, train, and respond. Bill loved "The Land," camping, gardening, and spending time with family. He was anxiously awaiting the arrival of another grandchild. Bill was a self proclaimed photographer, enjoying taking pictures of everything and sharing them with his family, He was deeply loved by his family and everyone who knew him. The Hallstead Fire Department will host calling hours from 2-5 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2025 with a service at 5:00 p.m. in the station. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the Hallstead Fire Department, P.O. Box AE, Hallstead, PA 18822 and always help a friend or neighbor in need in his memory.
