WILLIAM CHARLES DOUGLAS, 77

WILLIAM CHARLES DOUGLAS age 77 of Crossville, TN passed away February 23, 2026. He was born January 12, 1949 in Kingston, TN the son of Charles and Ruth Taylor Douglas.

He was a 1971 graduate from the University of Tennessee, with a degree in veterinary science who spent his life raising cattle and was a custom harvester of green beans and squash here in Tennessee and Florida and Georgia. He was a true man of God and he and his wife Pam were members of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was a kind and gentle man who made an impact on many lives in many states.

He is survived by his wife Pam Douglas of Crossville, children- Scott Douglas and his fiancee Jessica of Crossville and Melissa Chittum and her husband Brandon of Knoxville, TN, stepchildren- John Gunter and his wife Amanda of Grimsley, TN and Martha Damron and her husband Corey of Murfreesboro, TN, grandchildren- Steven Douglas and his fiancee Kayla, Austin Yearwood and his wife Lauren, Ashley Yearwood and Jessmina Samuel, step grandchildren- Emma Damron, Thomas Damron, Molly Gunter, Noah Gunter, Ellie Gunter and Isaac Gunter and a host of special cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Sunday March 1, 2026 at 2pm at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday February 28, 2026 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
