William Christopher Dow

William Christopher Dow, commonly known as Chris, age 51, of Stockbridge, Georgia, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026. He was born on May 18, 1974, in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of William Kenneth Dow and Deborah Elaine Brand Burge.

Chris was a true car man through and through. From NASCAR Sundays to garage nights, cars weren't just a hobby, they were his language. He especially loved Dale Earnhardt Sr., proudly cheering on "The Intimidator" and embracing everything that came with that racing spirit. His passion for cars ran deep, inherited from his Pawpaw and uncle, who helped spark a love that would shape much of his life. Chris loved the mechanics, the details, the process, and simply being around cars, always eager to learn more.

Throughout his working career, Chris held several occupations, but his favorite role was as an Auto Body Technician specializing in automotive refinishing. He found joy in giving vehicles new life. That artistic gift didn't stop in the shop. Chris carried that same attention to detail into every project he touched. Whether painting, refurbishing, or restoring, he poured himself into his work, always leaving his mark.

He is survived by his mother, Deborah (Jerry) Burge; his sons, Ryan (Megan) Dow and Dylan Dow; brother, Brandon Dow; nephew, Drew Dow; niece, Kendal Dow; maternal grandmother, Willett "Nannie" Brand; uncles, Jackie (Jeri) Brand and Phillip (Beth) Dow; aunt, Tammy Brand; as well as several extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Dow; maternal grandfather, Jackie Brand; paternal grandparents, Billy and Dot Dow; uncle, Eddie Brand; and aunt, Joy Dow.

A funeral service to honor Chris' life will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, beginning 11:00 AM, at Stockbridge Community Church, 4401 GA-155 N, Stockbridge, GA 30281. Pastor Jeff Daws will officiate the service. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10:00 AM until the service begins, at the church. A private burial will take place at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, Georgia.
