William Ronald "Ron" Drow, age 82, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on December 29, 2023. He was born on February 22, 1941, in Sault Ste. Marie, to William and Evelyn (Raynard) Drow.
Ron grew up in Sault Ste. Marie where he met the love of his life, Patricia Wilson, and they were married on November 30, 1963. He joined the United States Army and was stationed in Germany from 1966-1968 during the Vietnam War. Upon being honorably discharged he spent time as a business owner of a local auto repair shop. Later in life he chose a different career path and became a licensed contractor.
Ron had a love of vintage cars, NASCAR racing, Michigan sports teams, and anything his grandchildren were involved with. His pride and joy in life were his grandchildren Nathan and Faith. Sharing stories of their accomplishments was one of his favorite pastimes.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Dawn (Chris) McKinney; grandson, Nathan McKinney; granddaughter, Faith McKinney; siblings Gary (Bette) Drow, Susan (Tim) Griffin, Darlene Ferguson, and Constance Baker; sisters-in-law, Doris LaRoque, Jeanette Wilson, and Arlene Winters; brother-in-law Gordon (Lou) Wilson; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Wilson) Drow; parents, William and Evelyn; in-laws, Austin and Martha (Gilroy) Wilson; sisters-in-law, Violet (Don) Edward, and Lila (John) Pesola; and brothers-in-law Bob LaRoque, Clayton (Dorothy) Wilson, Fay Wilson, and Bob Winters.
