William Francis "Bill" Edlin Jr.

William "Bill" Francis Edlin Jr. 66, of Louisville passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024.
He was born September 3, 1957 to his late parents, Edith Jane (Casey) and William Francis Edlin Sr.
Bill's passion for Louisville basketball, gardening and collecting Hot wheels and will be forever remembered by all who knew him.
Bill was proud of his nine years of sobriety anniversary.
One of Bill's cherished and proud moments was when he was selected by Metro United Way to carry the 1996 Olympic torch throughh Bedford, Kentucky with family and friends cheering him on. He loved spending time with his cousins during holidays, family gatherings and always keeping us in spirits.
As we say our final goodbyes, we will always carry the memories of Bill's strength and courage in our hearts.
We will forever remember him as a loving son, nephew, cousin, friend and an inspiration to those he encountered.
He is survived by an aunt, Joyce (Edlin) Stoner; many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be 2:00 – 5:00 Tuesday with a funeral service at 5:00 PM at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial will be in the Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
