Mr. William "David" Ellison, 79 husband of Linda "Sue" Freeman Ellison, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, November 15, 2024.
Born in Greenville County, a son of the late Cecil Elmer Ellison and the late Anita Jones Ellison, Mr. Ellison was a retired Maintenance Supervisor at BASF with thirty-three years of service. He was a longtime member of Lakeview Baptist Church where he served as deacon and Sunday school teacher.
David loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and loved and adored his family, especially spending time with them. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and Clemson football. David will be dearly missed by all that loved and knew him.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of fifty-nine years, are his son, William "Brian" Ellison (Carol) of Easley; his daughter, April Ellison Tolley (Scott) of Easley; a brother, J.M. Ellison (Bonnie) of Easley; four grandchildren, Abbey LeClair (J.D.), Will Ellison, Ellison Tolley and Hutch Tolley; and one great-grandchild on the way. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ellison was predeceased by a brother, Fred Ellison; and three sisters, Gertrude Powell, Sybil Ferguson, and Margaret McClellan.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Lakeview Baptist Church, Pickens, SC. Burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM Wednesday at the church, prior to the service.
