William "Will" Fairbrother, 69, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:36 a.m. on Tuesday, September 30th, 2025, at his residence.

Born August 15, 1956, in Portland, Maine, he was the son of the late Charles and Ruth (McDermoot) Fairbrother. He married Sherri Crawford on April 20th, 2010, in Jennings County; she survives.

Will retired from Enkei in Columbus, Indiana as a furnace worker, and had previously been a Cobbler and a large machine operator while in Maine. Will was a member of Emmanuel Church in North Vernon. He enjoyed working in his garden with his grandchildren, playing cards with his grandchildren, teaching all his grandchildren how to cook, and spending time with his family.

Surviving his wife of 15 years, Sherri, are daughters, Heidi Clarke of Ohio, Tami Ross of North Vernon; daughter-in-law, Christina Miller of North Vernon; brothers, John (Donna) Fairbrother of North Vernon, Michael (Linda) Fairbrother of Old Orchard Beach, Maine; sisters, Carol (Terry) DePaul of Maine, Robin Fairbrother of Georgia, and Carol (Estel) Smith of Seymour; 13 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ross Miller; daughter, Dawn Fairbrother; brother, Steven Fairbrother; and sister, Mary Fairbrother.

In keeping with the family's wishes, cremation is planned with no services to be held at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Will through the funeral home for family expenses.
