William Fashingbauer Obituary
86, lifelong resident of Chicago-Canaryville neighborhood, passed away peacefully into eternal life on December 1, 2021. Beloved husband of Mercedes nee Keating; loving father of the late Bill Jr. (Denise) Fashingbauer, Ray (Karin) Fashingbauer, and Lucy (William) Young; cherished grandfather of Matthew, Nicholas, Ryan, Michael, Rachael, and Richard; dearest uncle to numerous loving nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Anna Fashingbauer nee Freund, and his siblings Elizabeth, Albert (Nora), Theresa (Dan) Magliano, Rose (Bob) Brinkman, Nick, Anna (Paul) Heinisch.
William was devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Gabriel Parish, where he was very active in the church choir.
Services at McINERNEY CENTRAL CHAPEL, 4635 S. Wallace St., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Monday, December 6, 2021, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, December 7, 2021, Chapel prayers 9;15 a.m. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel Church, Chicago. Burial St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for Mass Cards from St. Gabriel Church.
For those attending services, PLEASE NOTE WEARING OF MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE REQUIRED.
