William Fassbender Obituary

William was born in Fort Bragg, NC on April 8, 1943, to William and Christine Love Fassbender.
He retired after 41 years with the US Postal Service. He was a longtime member, and his parents were founding members of St. Brendan Catholic Church in Shallotte. He loved airplanes and had one solo flight credited to him. He enjoyed working in his yard, going to the beach and loved his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children: Pete Fassbender (Diane) of Perkasie, PA; Christine Heiser (Mark) of Warrington, PA; David Fassbender of Reading, PA; Jennifer Estes (Robert) of Doylestown, PA; and their mother Rose Marie Lewis; Brian Fassbender (Emma) of Longs, SC; Jeremy Fassbender of Myrtle Beach, SC; Jessica Fassbender of Asheville, NC, and their mother Maggie Fassbender of Hickory, NC; 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; brothers: Stephen Fassbender (Lisa) of Scotland, CT and Peter Fassbender of Chalfont, PA.
In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by a brother: Thomas Fassbender.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Brendan Catholic Church 5101 Ocean Hwy W Shallotte, NC and interment will follow in the church columbarium. The family will receive friends following the services in St. Brendan Hall.
