He was born on April 18, 1953, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Charles and Delores (Schusted) Forbes.
Surviving are his siblings, Chris Teuerle of Morton, Carrie (Scott) Michel of Morton, and Duffy Forbes of Groveland; and sister-in-law, Chris Forbes of Charlotte, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles Forbes.
Bill was a United States Air Force veteran.
He was a salesman for Dynabrade.
He attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2025, with Fr. Adam Cesarek officiating. Burial of cremated remains will be at Camp Butler in Springfield, Illinois at a later date.
Memorials may be made to American Legion Post 318 in Morton.
Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.
