William "Henry" Freeman Sr., age 70, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center in Cartersville, Georgia, surrounded by his loving family.
Henry was born on January 8, 1954, in Brookhaven, Mississippi, to the late James Roy Freeman & Doris Margaret Freeman. He is also preceded in death by his grandson, William Zachary Bishop; his brother James Michael Freeman, and his wife Glenda Freeman; and his brother Timothy Wayne Freeman.
Those left behind to remember Henry are his devoted wife of over 50 years, Kim Freeman; his loving children Kristy Webb & her husband Marty of Rome, GA, Samantha Freeman of Calhoun, GA, and William Henry Freeman Jr. & his wife Selena of Rockmart, GA; his siblings Janice Ensley & her husband Ricky of Cleveland, TN, Thomas Ray Freeman of Cleveland, TN, and Randy Freeman & his wife Liz of Poplarville, MS; as well as 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Henry was first and foremost, a family man. He loved each and every one of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He had a way of making people laugh and never took himself too seriously. He was the first one to crack a joke or make a silly face in the family photo. He brought a lot of joy to others with his great sense of humor. He worked at Lockheed Martin for 20 years but his passions in life were found through his family and his hobbies. Enjoying the simple things, Henry loved fishing, woodworking, playing guitar, and painting. The laughter and love he brought to others is what made him special, and while he will be sorely missed, he will never be forgotten.
Henry's family will be hosting a public visitation at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home on Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 p.m.
