WILLIAM H. “BILL” GELTZ
William H. “Bill” Geltz, of Canton, Ohio, passed away, February 29, 2024 at the age of 85. He was born in Canton on January 12, 1939 to his late parents, Kenneth and Helen (Noble) Geltz. Bill is also preceded in death by his sons, Rodney and Darren.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Bill is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Rita Geltz; sons, Keith (Barbara) Geltz, Steven (Terra) Geltz; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Kaylene Hostettler.
He enjoyed traveling, sports, and playing pool with his neighbors. He always made a great cup of coffee. Bill was an all-around good guy, retired from the U.S. Postal Service and served in the U.S. Navy.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown, where the service for Bill will follow immediately at 12:00. Pastor Chad Durfee will officiate. Interment will take place at North Lawn Cemetery, Canton, with Military Honors presented.
