William (Bill) Francis Goff, 77, of Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 20, 2025 at Villa Crest Retirement and Rehabilitation home.
Bill was born on September 21, 1948 in Attelboro, MA to Francis William Goff and Frances Elnor Wilson. He was raised there until he was drafted into the Army for the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Korea as an infantryman. Upon his return he worked at Balfour Jewelers and Thermal Dynamics. Bill eventually moved to Canaan, NH where he worked for Dartmouth College and for the State of New Hampshire Road Works. He was married to Lynda Langdon and they raised a son, Michael Goff. In the early 1980s he and his family relocated to Manchester where he worked for Fireye, Inc. until his retirement in 2010.
Bill enjoyed classic cars and automobiles in general. He was an adept handyman and electrician. He had a passion for home projects and building things. He enjoyed cooking and sewing quilts. He loved cats.
Bill is survived by his loving husband Gary Poirier, son Michael Goff, daughter-in-law Lindsay Goff, grandchildren Cailin and Ryan Goff, nephew Paul Goff, Jr. and niece-in-law Megan Goff.
There will be no memorial service as per Bill’s wishes.
