William "Bill" Nichols Green, age 71, passed away peacefully in his home on October 7th, 2025. Bill was born in Joplin, Missouri, on January 29, 1954. He graduated from Missouri Southern State College with his degree in Marketing Management and Computer Science before moving to the Kansas City area in 1976. It was here, he would meet and latermarry the love of his life, Cyndi, thanks to the matchmaking skills of Cyndi's mother, Shirley.

Bill is preceded in death by his father, John Green and mother-in-law, Shirley Read. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Cyndi Green, his two daughters Laura Eicherl (Tim) and Natalie O'Neal (Andrew), granddaughter Leighton Eicherl and sister Vicki Briley.

Bill never met a stranger and had more "girlfriends" (you know who you are), over the years, than his family could keep track of. Whether you knew him for 30 seconds or 30 years, you could always count on him for two things: a fun conversation (usually about the Chiefs) and weather updates. He always made sure every person around him was happy and taken care of. His joy was contagious, and his love was endless.

Family, friends and "girlfriends" alike are invited to attend a celebration of life at 11am on October 25, 2025 Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie, KS. As a long-time sports lover, the family requests attendees wear their favorite sport's team attire in honor of Bill.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Tonganoxie Recreation Commission (tongierec.org) or Appl Orchard Hospice (applorchardhospice.com)
