William Guffey, 55, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, in Morristown.

Born on September 29, 1969, in Franklin, he was the son of Richard Guffey and Carol (Forrest) Guffey.

Survivors include one son- William "Eddie" (Emily) Guffey of Shelbyville; 2 siblings- Ronnie (Chasta Johnson) Guffey of Waldron, sister Christina (Brian Adams) Guffey of Shelbyville; half sister Missy (Anthony) Brasher; and 5 grandchildren- Kacen, Aubrey, Briley, Connor and Peyton. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Guffey.

William had lived in this area his entire lifetime and was an auto mechanic for Phelps Auto Sales for several years.

Funeral services will be 7:00 pm, Friday, September 12, 2025, at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Andy Lee officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00pm until the time of the service, at the funeral home.

Memorial donations can be made to William Guffey memorial fund in care of the funeral home.
