William Thomas Hancock Jr.

William Thomas Hancock, Jr. 59, of Greenville, also known as River, died January 28, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospice in Little Rock, Arkansas, following a stroke.
William was born April 7, 1965, to William and Mary Hancock.
He is preceded in death by his newborn son, William Thomas III.
Standing at the tomb of his friend Lazarus, the Bible says, "Jesus wept." If Jesus mourned his friend, then mourning is ok. Left behind to mourn are his parents, William and Mary Hancock of Doddsville; sister, Michelle Long (Kerry) of Cruger; three children whom he was immensely proud of: Michael William Sr. (Bridgett) of Wayside, Rhiannon Leigh of Marietta, Georgia, and Christian Thomas of Rosedale; along with two grandchildren, Michael William Jr. and Ava Irene.
William will also be deeply missed by his friend, Britt Powell of Greenville, and many other loving friends and family members.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 3, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Bob Hill officiating. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
