William Haney Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wiley Funeral Home - Glen Rose on Mar. 27, 2026.
William Irvin Haney, 56, was called to Heaven peacefully while in the loving presence of his family on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026.

William was born in Denver, Colorado to Kathy Bruce and William "Bill" Haney on March 27th, 1969. After completing his education at Hico High School, William moved to California and found employment in the oilfield and construction industries. He returned home to Texas and settled into his career as an electrician, a vocation to which he was immensely devoted to over the past three decades.

William wed Johnna Rae Conner on June 24, 1995 in Grand Prairie and from their union came two sons, Bryce and Brandon. William cherished the company of his beloved dog Sadie, who remained by his side until William left for his eternal home.

William most enjoyed time with his wife, camping, fishing, and accompanying his sons to dirt bike races in their youth. William found relaxation most evenings on his front porch, where he favored grilling and listening to music as the sun would set on another hard day of work.

William is survived by his beloved wife, Johnna Rae Haney; sons, Brandon Haney and Bryce Haney along with wife Kalyn Haney; grandsons, Asher and Parker Haney; mother, Kathy Bachtel; brothers, Don Armagust and Shane Carnahan along with wife Rita; sisters, Michelle Stoddard along with husband Tim and Shirley Hansen along with husband Scott; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

William is preceded in death by father William "Bill" Haney.

The family invites close relatives, friends, and co-workers to a Celebration of Life on Sunday, April 12, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Glen Rose Community Center, located at 105 Shepard Street, Glen Rose, Texas 76043.
