Mr. William Henry Hawkins, 67 of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Friday, March 06, 2026, at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, VA.
Mr. Hawkins, affectionately known as “Hawk”, was born in Vance County, NC on April 16, 1958, to Julia and William Bullock. He attended Vance County public schools and was a member of the New St. Douglas Baptist Church; he would help with anything needed. William cherished time spent with his family and friends.
He was proceeded in death by two sons, William Hawkins, Jr., and Brandy Ratliff Jr.; and his brother-in-law, Henry Goode.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of 41 years, Alveria Townes Hawkins of Chase City, VA; three daughters, Tanisha Hendricks of Chase City, VA, Crystal Hawkins (Karriem) of Henderson, NC, and Amber Walker of South Hill, VA; one son, Camari Feggins of South Hill, VA; eleven grandchildren; his parents, Julia and William Bullock; three brothers, Larry Hawkins (Sarah ), Wayne Bullock, and Tyrone Bullock; two sisters, Phyllis Anne Hawkins (Mister) and Deborah Bullock; six sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law; godsons, Shuntwayne and Travis Osborne and host of other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. William Henry Hawkins, Sr. will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 14, 2026 at New Saint Douglas Baptist Church, Boydton, VA with Rev. Robert S. Wimbush, Eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday from 1:00 until 1:45 P.M.
Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
