With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William Charles Heath, 83, who departed from this world on January 17, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family in Seguin, TX.
He was born on March 6, 1941, in Megargel, TX to Riley William “Slim” and Frances Ruby Heath. He was the eldest of five children; William Charles, James Burtis, Glenna Gayle, Kenneth Niel, and Gary Milton; born into the loving Heath family.
He was a hard worker that owned a saltwater trucking company; Cibolo Vacuum Service; and a roustabout company; Heathco; which led him to working in the oilfield and with a rock quarry.
He loved spending time with his family and his dogs whether it was working on vehicles, fishing, or hunting (especially rabbit). His pride and joy were his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his great great grandchild.
He was a stubborn man with a loving heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents; William “Slim” and Frances Heath; his siblings; James Burtis, Glenna Gayle Thomas, Kenneth Niel, his children; Elizabeth Underwood, Steven Stuart Sparkman, Gloria Elaine Sparkman.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Ronda Darlene Heath (Joe Wagner) of Seguin, TX, Bobby Heath of Amarillo, TX, Cynthia Gibson of Tucson, AZ, Bill Heath (Michelle) of New Braunfels, TX, his youngest brother Gary Heath of Carlsbad, NM, his 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and his 1 great great grandchild.
William Charles Heath will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. His legacy of working hard, love and devotion will forever inspire those whose lives he touched.
A service to celebrate the life of William Charles Heath will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Goetz Funeral Home. Viewing at 9:00 a.m. with service following at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at San Geronimo Cemetery in Seguin, TX.
