William Henderson Obituary

William J. Henderson, 76, of Wrentham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2023 after a long illness.
He was born on April 12, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York to William P. Henderson and Alice R. Volk. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew "Kelly" Henderson, his brother, Bruce M Henderson and his stepmother, Virginia Henderson.
He is survived by his beloved companion of 38 years, Karen Glavin, his children, William Henderson, Bryan Henderson, Colleen Henderson Inocencio, brothers: Patrick J. McNeil, Kevin McNeil, Stepsister, Linda Costa: sister-in-law, Deborah M. Henderson, daughter-in-law, Suzanne Henderson; grandchildren, Trevor, Connor, Alex, Jack, Ryan and Gannon Henderson, Elle and Francesca Inocencio, as well as other family and friends.
Bill graduated from Long Beach, New York, high school in 1965 and from Northeastern University with a Degree in logistics. He began his career working for the Avon Corporation, later owning his own small trucking company. After a career change, Bill worked for 20 years in public relations for the Boston Superior Officers Federation, as well as opening a fitness and nutrition center. Bill enjoyed helping people achieve their fitness goals. He was a personal trainer and competitive body builder. He was in many body building competitions and received several trophies.
Bill was a great athlete. He was a lifeguard and enjoyed surfing at Long Beach. In school he was a quarterback and a pitcher. He was an avid sports fan, always watching the Red Sox and football. He enjoyed golfing with family and friends.
Bill's favorite pastime was being out on the ocean in his boat fishing or just relaxing. He was a loving, kindhearted, friendly man with a great sense of humor. He was always smiling. He will truly be missed by all.
A remembrance Mass for Bill will be held at St. Mary's Church, Wrentham on Sunday July 2nd at 9:30AM.
