William Brunston Henson, age 87, of Judsonia Arkansas passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. He was born October 4, 1938, to Frank and Hazel (Fulton) Henson in Blevins Arkansas.
William Brunston was a great provider and family man, worked hard at many different jobs over the years. He farmed as a young man and started his own construction company in his middle years, “Henson and Son Construction” which was his job for a good 35 years of his life, retiring as an owner operator of an over the road trucking company in 2003.
To his family and friends, he was a man with many names. He was lovingly called Bunt by his wife, Agnes of 67 years, and his close family. W.B. by friends (and his wife when she was mad, lol). To his 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, he was Grandpa W. B. Except for one great grandchild, Buck Henson, he was loving called “Grandpa down the road” due to their retirement years they moved closer to the family and were just a mile down the road from their grand and great grandchildren. Of course it was a house on the river, the last house built by his own hands where he could fish and watch the river flow by. He loved that home where he passionately wanted to stay until his last day on this earth.
Bunt is survived by his wife, Agnes; his son, Russell (Sandy) of Bald Knob, Ar.; and his daughter, Cathy Busch of Searcy Ar. He also leaves behind his brothers, E. J. of El Dorado Ar., James (Thelma) of Hope Ar.; his sister, Opal Fultz of Texarkana Tx; 7 grandchildren; 11 Great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Bunt was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Hazel, brothers, Jesse, Grady, Paul and his sisters, Ida Jane Hatfield and Dean Norris.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Jan Parchman for her special care in his last days.
Visitation will be at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home on Monday, January 12, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Hicks Cemetery in Lonoke, Ar. www.searcymceuenfuneralhome.com.
