On Sunday August 27th, William Herting age 85 passed away peacefully at home in Florida. Beloved husband for 33 years to Antoinette, devoted father to Jennifer, Jaclyn, Wendy (Bruce) Laudi, Greg (Nancy) Herting, cherished grandfather to Emily (Tyler) Boes and endearing brother to Julie Haverstick.
Bill served in the US Marines and loved talking about the military. He volunteered at the Battleship New Jersey for 5 years and loved talking to the tourists about the history of the ship. Bill loved talking to the 24th Street beachgoers in Ocean City plus strolling around our community in Florida. The family will be having a private party celebrating Bill's life. In lieu of flowers, Bill would appreciate memorial donations be made to Tunnel to Towers https://t2t.org
