William Hromada Obituary
Bill was the CEO of Boston based Saratoga Forwarding and served as the CEO and Executive Vice President of United Shipping. His career included a wide array of experiences in the transportation and logistics industry from operations to sales.
Bill will be remembered as the easy-going guy with a big smile that made everyone feel comfortable. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Bill loved spending time in the Hudson River Valley with his life partner Robyn. He enjoyed fine wine and experiencing new restaurants, traveling the world with his friends in the freight forwarding industry and loved to watch his grandson play hockey. He cared greatly about his family and friends. He was especially proud of his four sons who meant the world to him.
Bill is survived by his life partner Robyn Hamilton; four sons Eric Hromada and his wife Lauren, Ian Hromada, Robert Hromada and his fiancé Jemmie, Matthew Hromada and his wife Katie. Bill is also survived by his sister Diana Demarest, his brother Matthew Hromada, and his grandson Evan Hromada in addition to many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network or the American Cancer Society.
The immediate services will be private. The family will be arranging a memorial mass and celebration of life in the early spring of 2023. Details for the memorial mass and celebration of life will be announced once confirmed.
