A memorial service to celebrate and remember the life of William "Jake" Hubbard will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Chelsea. Inurnment will be at a later date, but Jake will be laid to rest in Winganon Cemetery beside his brother. Jake passed away in a tragic car accident on Friday, December 20, 2024. He was 32.
Born in Claremore, OK on August 28, 1992, to Jesse and Brenda (Morton) Hubbard. Jake was raised and educated in the Chelsea area and attended both Chelsea and Adair Public Schools. On July 6, 2018, in Adair, OK, Jake married the love of his life Tiffany Cawood. They became a blended family with three children, Mason, Jaxon and Bailey. Jake provided for his family owning a small business with his dad; Jesse Hubbard Concrete and Remodeling.
A true outdoorsman Jake liked fishing and camping. Spencer Creek was a favorite destination and the sooner he could get his jug lines in the water the better. He had an appreciation of music, and it didn't really make any difference to him what song was playing if it was as loud as it could be. Jake's family said he should have been a politician. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Family time was always a special time of laughter and memories. When the grandchildren came along, they stole Jake's heart. G-Pa as they called him might have become Jake's favorite word to hear. In fact, it was said he was way more attentive to the grands than his children. No story about Jake would be complete unless you mentioned his dogs; Scout and Twinkles. Scout his French Bulldog had his own elf costume and Jake would take him around town to put a smile on many faces young and old alike.
A man whose life was brief has left a legacy that will live on in the lives of his family and friends. Jake is survived by his wife Tiffany, children, Mason Hubbard, Jaxon Most, and Bailey Huddleston and husband Johnny, grandchildren, Presley, Payton, and Waylon Huddleston, parents, Jesse and Brenda Hubbard, brothers, Jason Hubbard and wife Shandel, Steven Hubbard and wife Chelsey, and Mickey Hubbard, brother-in-law, Cody Anderson, and numerous nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, and extended family. Jake was preceded in death by his grandparents and brothers, Brent and Harley Hubbard.
