William Dean Hughes

William Dean Hughes, 66, of Perry, FL, passed away on March 7, 2026. Born on September 30, 1959, in Pennsylvania. He was a skilled welder in the fabrication industry and spent his days working hard to provide for his family. Outside of work, Dean enjoyed relaxing with his passions. He loved doing drawings, hunting, fishing, and taking rides through the woods while listening to his favorite country music. Those who knew him will remember his big heart and how he cherished the simple pleasures of life.

He was preceded in death by: his mother, Evelyn Nettles; a brother, and 3 sisters.

Dean is survived by: 6 children, Kimberly Hughes, Sara Hughes, Samantha Hughes, Izabella Hughes, Kaden Hughes, and William Hughes II; 8 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 13, 2026 in the Burns Funeral Home Memorial Chapel of Perry. Interment will follow in Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
