William L. Hunt, 86 years. U.S. Navy Veteran. Beloved husband of Jeanette for 54 years. Loving father of Joyce (Kirk II) Petersen, the late Marsha (Bruce) Hodina, and the late Michael (Maria) Hunt. Cherished Papa/Grandpa of Hannah (John) Ghassan, Kirk III (Armi Grace) Petersen, Sam Hunt, Ryan (Brittany) Petersen, Emily Petersen, Rachel Hunt, and Brad Petersen. Great-Grandfather of Kirk IV, Izzie, Noah, Theo, and Maddie. Dear brother of the late Vera, Fay, Diane, and Jerry, and brother-in-law of Marge and Fred Ludwig, Pat and Rich Crotty, Becky and Junior Hartmann, and Rosie and Bob (Jeannie) Duh. Fond uncle, cousin, and friend of many. This simple guy with a heart and soul so big will be greatly missed.
Visitation Friday, January 19, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Becvar & Son Funeral Home, 5539 W. 127th Street, Crestwood. Lying-In-State on Saturday, January 20th at The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 7800 S. McCarthy Road, Palos Heights, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Service at 10:30 A.M. Dear Jean Just heard from Mike on Becky Court that Bill had passed!
Great person never forget his helping Nick lay sod in our backyeard in the cold!! Many prayers for you and the family!!

Bill was my neighbor, He and Jean are 2 of my favorites at Somerset. I will miss his smile and kindness to me. His great gardening skills have made the view from my condo a little wonderland. I will miss him.

I'll miss you uncle Leroy. I'm truly thankful for all my memories. I would have to say my best memory is when we were all at uncle Fay's and you were such a comedian. I love you always! May the family find comfort in this very difficult time. Grieve is very difficult and pray they can find the comfort needed to get through this season.
