We are saddened to announce the passing of William Donald Huser. Loving Son, Father, Husband, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. Bill left for his heavenly home on January 30, 2025, aged 84, with his loving wife Carol by his side. He was born and raised in Wewoka, OK and graduated from Wewoka High School. He was a revered figure in the community of Wewoka and was well loved by all the people he knew. Bill never met a stranger. He was a devoted fan of the Oklahoma Sooners and attended games and supported the football, basketball, and softball teams for many years. Bill attended over 50 OU-Texas football games.
He has such a warm personality and made friends wherever he was. Bill was a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association for 57 years where he practiced law at the firm of Huser, Huser and Lively with his father Marshall and his friend and confidant John Lively. He served as the Municipal Judge of Wewoka for 15 years, Konawa City Attorney for 30 years, a member of the Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, a longtime member of the Wewoka Lions Club, the Wewoka Country Club, the Seminole Elks Lodge, and the American Lung Association. Bill served his country as a U.S. Army Reservist for 14 years where he achieved the rank of Captain before being honorably discharged in 1984.
Bill valued education as he was a Regent of Seminole State College for many years. He attended Austin College in Sherman, TX for two years where he was on the tennis team. He continued his undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma where he earned a B.A. in English in 1964. He entered the OU School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 1966.
He is survived by his wife Carol of the home, his son Greg Huser of Kent, WA., son Brad Huser and wife Katrina of Wewoka, step-daughter Yevette Engle and Jay, grand daughters London Huser Madison Huser, Issabella Huser and Francesca Huser, step-grandsons Joshua Engle and Stacy, Dan Engle and Nicole, step great-granddaughters Aleeah Rich, Sophia Engle, Zoe Engle, Elizabeth Engle and step grandsons Joseph Engle, and Brently Engle, as well as many friends and colleagues. He will be greatly missed by all. He was fun, funny, and could always tell a good story.
